The FixCleaner application has a lot of functionality to offer to the PC user who wants to keep his computer in perfect running shape. FixCleaner fixes problems with the Windows Registry, removes junk files, removes files that put your privacy in danger, blocks harmful Active-X objects, adjusts system settings for optimum performance, finds software updates, defragments the disk, optimizes your memory, and more.

The FixCleaner installation file is little over 4MB in size, so if you value your time, you’ll be glad to know that you won’t spend a lot on downloading this application. You can install FixCleaner on XP, Vista, or Windows 7 without any hassle. All you have to do is run the aforementioned installation file and complete a few steps a setup wizard presents.

The interface puts your system’s health front and center. Of course, FixCleaner cannot assess your system health until it scans it. To initiate a scan, you need only click the large 1-Click Scan button from the bottom right hand corner of the interface. The scan will look for system registry problems, junk files, files that could compromise your privacy, unwanted Active-X controls, software updates, and settings that can be adjusted for optimal performance. Once the scan completes, and it should not take long to do so, you will be prompted to fix all the problems uncovered by FixCleaner.

Just to be on the safe side, you are asked to create a system restore point before FixCleaner fixes the problems it found. If something were to go wrong, you can undo any changes FixCleaner made from the Rescue menu – that’s one of several buttons displayed in the upper part of FixCleaner’s interface. An interesting button is Tools; it groups together multiple tools you can use to optimize the PC, security, manage system updates, remove private and junk data, and manage Internet Explorer.

As mentioned above, you can scan your system by hitting the 1-Click Scan button on the application’s interface. If you don’t like to do things manually, you will be glad to know that there’s an alternative: scheduled scans. From the Settings menu, you can set it up so the scans are performed automatically, either daily or weekly. The scans will start at the time you specify.

30 days is the amount of time you have at your disposal to evaluate FixCleaner’s functionality for free. To keep using the application once the trial period is over, you will have to get a license. If you don’t want to do that, you can use the FixCleaner Slim version; it is free, but has limited functionality to offer.

Through FixCleaner’s good looking interface, you have access to powerful functionality that helps you keep your computer clean and running smoothly.

Pros

FixCleaner has a good looking and very easy to use interface. If you have any problems with the application, you can check out some video tutorials, check the user manual, or get help from the developer. FixCleaner fixes Registry problems, removes junk files, protects your privacy, blocks unwanted ActiveX controls, optimizes settings, and finds software updates. And on top of this, it offers some handy tools to optimize the PC.

Cons

Free to use for a trial period of 30 days. There’s a free Slim version, but it has limited functionality to offer.
